Day Support Activities
A fundamental part of Abilitree’s mission is to nurture authentic connection in our community and empower meaningful participation in everyday life.
Through our Day Support Activities program, we help you build strong, positive relationships with your peers while enjoying access to all aspects of community life.
As a group, we explore a variety of new adventures and opportunities such as:
Shopping | Concerts | Festivals | Tours | Outdoor Education | Community Events | Volunteering | Independent Living Skills (meal planning, budgeting, self-advocacy) | Social Skills Development (teamwork, problem solving)
Each structured experience is designed to expand identity, cultivate friendships and boost personal fulfillment.
How does it work?
Abilitree provides you with a monthly calendar to select activities you wish to attend.
A typical outing lasts five hours.
- Meet at Abilitree at 10 a.m. and leave as a group
- Eat a sack lunch together
- After lunch, we continue the planned activity.
- Finish with a drop-off at the Hawthorne bus station
What will I do and learn?
Life is meant to be enjoyed. Our team plans fun activities that get you out and about in the Central Oregon community.
Each experience is designed to build your confidence and help you reach your goals. You’ll make friends with interesting people who aren’t your family or caregiver. We’ll help you develop the skills necessary to participate fully in community life. Independent living. Vocational development. Social savvy. What do you want to learn?
Every day is different. Every day is an adventure.
